Following the heartbreaking loss to Sweden last weekend, coach Desiree Ellis handed a start to Noxolo Cesane in place of Sibulele Holweni, while Kholosa Biyana made way for Karabo Dhlamini.
Despite losing a key player, Banyana went on take the lead for the second game in a row through Linda Motlhalo's close-range finish, which needed the approval of the Video Assistant Referee after the goal was initially ruled out for offside. With Argentina looking to pull level, Ellis' charges did get their second goal in the 65th minute when Seoposenwe won possession high up the pitch and did well to put the ball on the plate for Kgatlana to smash home.
