They and other players at the Fifa Women’s Football World Cup in Australia and New Zealand will be accommodated in style during their stay for the tournament that runs from July 20 to August 20. This information comes as the result of a study conducted by the Austrian information portal, Wettbasis , which researched the hotels of the participating teams at the 32-nation tournament.The hotel of the Irish team in Brisbane ranks at the top in terms of price per night for the cheapest room.
The squads from Morocco and Nigeria secure the fourth and fifth places, respectively, with approximately $292 and $279 charged per night for the cheapest rooms in their hotels.The Swedish team has the most modest accommodation. Prices for rooms at the team hotel in Auckland start at about $52 per night.The bronze medal in this category goes to the hotel of the Colombian team in Sydney, where the cheapest room costs just under $117 for one night.
Accordingly, the team from Nigeria should have particularly good chances: the hotel chosen by the Nigerian Football Federation offers breakfast for $30 – the top spot in this ranking. Panama is similarly well catered for, as players eat a $27 breakfast. Only a small difference behind, the breakfast at the hotel of the Irish team follows at $26.
The accommodations of the Australian and South African teams require hungry guests to dig equally deep into their pockets: approximately $26 and $24, respectively, are charged for a morning meal.
