The Open Price was -140 points than the closing price of the previous session giving a very bearish start to the day.made a low at 19659 which was a downward shift to the lower base compared to 17-10 and a bearish sign.The Close - High difference was -170 points which is also a bearish sign.The Open Price was -521 points compared to the cloning price of the previous session giving it an extremely bearish start to the day.
Bajaj twins and Banking heavyweights turned negative in an overnight move which may have caught many on the wrong side of the fence. It is interesting to note that a strong profit performance by HDFC Bank has led its stock to behave in such a manner. It appears that either the news did not come in at the right time or the market expected much more from the heavyweight.
Consequential damages led Nifty also on the downside and it suffered even more as Reliance joined the party. However, Nifty ended in somewhat better shape than Bank Nifty.
