A Bandera County man was arrested Friday on allegations that he solicited sex online from someone he thought was a 16-year-old girl.

According to a news release, Matthew Louis Heimer Jr., 33, of Pipe Creek, was arrested following an investigation by the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Division.KCSO officials said that Heimer had communications of a sexual nature with an undercover officer that ultimately led to a planned meeting in the parking lot of a business located in the 1400 block of State Highway 173.
But when officers tried to stop Heimer’s vehicle, he took off and led officers on a 33-mile chase that reached speeds over 100 mph, KCSO said. The chase ended after officers planted some spikes on a road in Bandera County that disabled the suspect’s vehicle. Heimer was arrested and charged with one count of online solicitation of a minor and one count of evading arrest.
