Baldur’s Gate 3 fans are convinced it’ll win Game of the Year after stunning showcase BaldursGate3 LarianStudios PanelFromHell
have been revealed. In fact, the open world adventure’s massive fanfare is further evidenced by the claims of a few diehard followers who have boldly stated that it’ll win Game of the Year ahead of widely celebrated games like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Final Fantasy 16, and Starfield.
A commenter under the same thread named JayCee5481 agreed with the post creator’s sentiment, but seemed resigned to another game winning the ultimate prize after saying: “It’s my goty as well but I guess because Zelda is more mainstream, Zelda is going to take it.” Of course, with mostunanimously praising Nintendo’s innovative and limitless open world creation, this may just end up being the case once the awards start being given out towards the tail end of the year.
Nevertheless, even if Baldur’s Gate 3 doesn’t end up winning any significant awards at year’s end, it still shouldn’t take anything away from Larian Studios’ massive, content-filled Dungeons and Dragons-inspired creation. Because a loyal player base that enjoys a game for years on end is no doubt worth more than any physical trophy.
