BREAKING: GreatBritishBakeOff confirms Alison Hammond as host and fans couldn't be happier
The Great British Bake Off has officially announced Alison Hammond as Matt Lucas' replacement, and fans are over the moon.
"We’re delighted to announce that Alison Hammond will be joining forces with Noel Fielding to host the next series of The Great British Bake Off on @Channel4 later this year," the page revealed alongside a snap of This Morning favourite, Alison.GBBO fans have since shared their excitement and labelled Alison, 48, as the "perfect choice".
"OMG!!!!!! This is the best news EVER!!!!!" said another Bake Off fan, as a fourth wrote: "it’s an immediate yes from me".The news of Alison joining the Bake Off family comes after Matt, 49, announced in December that he was stepping down from his hosting duties.
