Bafana to make a jump in FIFA rankings after Afcon qualifiersSouth Africa had already secured qualification due to Congo Brazzaville’s loss to South Sudan. All that was left for Bafana was to beat Uganda and Sudan to secure first place in Group K. They achieved this by defeating Uganda 2-0 in Kampala and then thrashing Sudan 3-0 in Cape Town, finishing with a total of 14 points.

The latest FIFA rankings will be released on 28 November and Bafana should definitely rank in the top 10 in Africa.
