Bafana Bafana’s 3-1 win at home to Zimbabwe on Tuesday evening showed they may just realise the dream of qualifying for the 2026 Fifa World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Nothing, therefore, is remotely decided, but Hugo Broos’ side’s performances in the two recent World Cup qualifiers against Nigeria and Zimbabwe have kept the momentum gaining from the third-place finish at the Africa Cup of Nations finals in the Ivory Coast.
