Tyler and Taylor Rogers double barreled in the bullpen Wednesday night at Coors Field, the ballpark they grew up attending.

DENVER — On their drive to Coors Field on Tuesday, Tyler and Taylor Rogers looked at each other and took a moment to recognize their reality. Twin brothers and best friends, on their way to play in the ballpark they grew up attending, sharing a vehicle, just as they did on their way to games at nearby Littleton High School. The twins shared another, even more special moment in the seventh inning of Wednesday’s game.

“Second time but the coolest place,” Taylor said. “It was a longer inning, right, so there was some downtime. There’s no outs and there’s a pitching change, so we’re really not in the throw to the zone just yet we’re just treading water. So we had time to kind of make some comments back and forth, so that was cool.”

While Tyler has been reliable as ever, Taylor has rebounded from a rough start to become the back-end arm the Giants believed they were getting. It has been nearly a month since either twin allowed a run. Taylor has allowed only one in 17 outings since April 15; Tyler only one in 13 outings since the start of May.
