Our hearts broke for Britney Spears and her fiancé Sam Asghari last week, when they revealed the loss of their baby just weeks after announcing their pregnancy. The singer took to Instagram to reveal she had miscarried her “miracle baby”, while Sam promised fans they wouldn’t give up hope, writing, “We will be expanding our family soon.”
“She’s in an extremely fragile place and isn’t sleeping well. Sam’s by her side 24/7 and is so worried about her. He’s being a real trooper, fixing up healthy meals for them both, fetching hot milk to help Brit sleep, or reading her books and finding calming apps that help soothe her nerves. He’s also been listing all the reasons they have to be happy and thankful right now. He’s always had a reassuring way about him and can calm Britney down and lift her spirits better than anyone else.
His comments came just a few days after Britney broke the news on her account, writing, “It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that we have lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy. This is a devastating time for any parent. Perhaps we should have waited to announce until we were further along, however we were overly excited to share the good news.”
Britney – who’s mum to sons Sean, 16, Jayden, 15, – has spoken for months of her desire to have a baby with Sam, revealing in court last summer that her conservatorship prevented her taking out her contraceptive implant.
