Agents in the planning application are IDP Architects, who are representing Network Rail in the proposals. The plan is to build a portal frame structure to form a covered walkway and erect modular units to house new ticket office and staff facilities. Network Rail’s planning proposal was submitted on September 12, prior to Monday night’s fire at the nearby Station Hotel.The proposals are listed as ‘pending consideration’ on South Ayrshire Council’s online planning portal.
