Amazon Web Services is doing something rather odd – promoting itself as a migration target for users of its own VMware Cloud on AWS service.appeared in recent days with the title"Save when you migrate VMware Cloud on AWS workloads to AWS." Those who take up the offer are even eligible for $400 in cloudy credit for each VM they migrate.
AWS also detailed how to use its Application Migration Service Replication Agent to move VMware workloads into its Elastic Compute Cloud in an April 29 VMware by Broadcom has previously told us it has nothing to say on the matter, and our inquiry to AWS remains open.
