Amazon Web Services has two new certifications - Certified AI Practitioner and Certified Machine Learning Engineer – Associate.

The certifications can help boost salaries by as much as 47 percent, according to AWS.With the technology sector obsessed with artificial intelligence and businesses the world over clambering for employees with AI-related skills, getting certified in the burgeoning technology will prove important.

The former is described as a, “foundational-level certification. It is designed for people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences to showcase their understanding of AI and generative AI concepts, their ability to recognize opportunities that benefit from AI, and their knowledge on using AI tools responsibly.”

To further support why those in the cloud sector, or those wanting to enter it, should pursue the two AI certifications, AWS cites a study itMore specifically, it found that organisations are willing to pay a premium for professionals with AI skills. On this front salaries of individuals with strong AI skills were up to 47 percent higher for IT workers, 43 percent higher for those in sales and marketing, and 42 percent higher for those in finance..
