With it aiming to deliver on the AI era for local businesses, AWS has seen a notable uptake of the services within Amazon Bedrock.
Bedrock features several industry-leading foundational models for developers to build their own applications.
To gain a bit more insight we spoke with Chris Erasmus , country general manager for South Africa at AWS, who presented during the aforementioned opening keynote, and took part in a media roundtable at the event. While Erasmus was unable to point to a specific customer, he did highlight Capitec Bank as a institution that AWS works closely with, with it already leveraging several services from the hyperscaler, and teasing a new feature that it is planning to roll out
