During a recent interview, one MCU Phase 4 actor may have revealed that their character won't be returning to the franchise anytime soon.

Anson Mount might have confirmed that the MCU's Black Bolt won't be returning for Phase 6's Avengers: Secret Wars, despite his appearance in Phase 4. Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige confirmed the development of Avengers: Secret Wars at SDCC 2022.

Black Bolt May Not Appear In Avengers: Secret Wars Anson Mount debuted as Blackagar Boltagon, a.k.a. Black Bolt, the King of the Inhumans in Marvel Television's Inhumans series in 2017, and though the series was canceled after its first season, Black Bolt is widely regarded as one of the show's strongest elements.

Black Bolt Is Still Alive In The MCU Despite Multiverse Of Madness Death Anson Mount's return in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness also led to one of Marvel Studios' most graphic and shocking death scenes. After Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch possessed the Wanda Maximoff of Earth-838 and set out to massacre the Illuminati, Black Bolt became her first victim.
