Avatar: The Way of Water introduced Kiri to the franchise, and while she is one of the movie's best characters, Avatar 3 really needs to fix the most frustrating part of Kiri's story. Kiri's introduction to the world of Avatar: The Way of Water is pretty unique, as she is the first biological avatar, with her having been born to Dr. Grace. This has a vast array of implications for the Avatar universe, with it introducing elements to Pandora that have barely been touched on.
Avatar: The Way Of Water's Kiri Story Felt Incomplete The origins of Kiri were a big part of her character arc in Avatar: The Way of Water. However, this storyline was never resolved, making the narrative surrounding Kiri feel pretty incomplete. Kiri is the daughter of Dr. Grace, a character that died in the original 2009 Avatar, and throughout the film, Kiri wants to learn about her mother. While Kiri does watch video logs from Dr. Grace, she doesn't really discover anything.
