El doctor Mark Ghaly, secretario de salud y servicios humanos del estado, dijo durante una rueda de prensa el miércoles que no se rechazará a ningún californiano totalmente vacunado que busque un refuerzo. Algo más de la mitad de los receptores de refuerzos del condado tienen 65 años o más, un grupo al que los funcionarios de salud pública han animado encarecidamente a vacunarse. Las personas mayores han representado aproximadamente el 80 por ciento de las muertes por COVID-19 en los Estados Unidos, según el CDC.
