Police received 28 reports of a stolen vehicle in Toronto City Centre between Aug. 4 and Aug. 10. That’s up from 22 reported for the previous week. Reports of auto thefts across the entire city climbed by 24 to 147 . There have been 4,808 vehicles reported stolen in Toronto so far this year — up 40 per cent compared to the same period in 2021.Two auto thefts were reported at the following locations: a curbside near Bloor Street East and Yonge Street on Thursday, Aug. 4 at around 6 a.m.
A total of 29 vehicles have been reported stolen in Lawrence Park South in 2022.Three auto thefts were reported at the following locations: a residential parking lot near Dundas Street West and Federal Street on Wednesday, Aug. 3 at around 10 p.m.; a curbside near Dufferin Street and Moutray Street on Thursday, Aug. 4 at around 2 p.m.; and a curbside around Lisgar Street and Sudbury Street on Wednesday, Aug. 10 at around 12 a.m.
