Police received two reports of a stolen vehicle in East York between July 28 and Aug. 3. None were reported for the previous week. Reports of auto thefts across the entire city fell by 16 to 123 . There have been 4,656 vehicles reported stolen in Toronto so far this year — up 41 per cent compared to the same period in 2021.
One auto theft was reported at the following location: a curbside around Glen Gannon Drive and Glenwood Crescent on Wednesday, Aug. 3 at around 4 a.m. A total of nine vehicles have been reported stolen in O’Connor-Parkview in 2022.One auto theft was reported at the following location: a curbside near Industrial Street and Laird Drive on Thursday, July 28 at about 1 p.m. A total of 15 vehicles have been reported stolen in Thorncliffe Park in 2022.
