Chicago-based auto parts firm LKQ Corp. is locating a new shipping hub at DFW Airport.
Since 2000, Perot Development has built more than 15 industrial projects with about 8 million square feet including multiple buildings near DFW Airport.Jones Lang LaSalle’s Kurt Griffin and Nathan Orbin negotiated the lease with Jacob Bobek and Tim Vogds of CBRE Group.
“The unparalleled location of DFW Park 161 offers tenants access to a best-in-class labor pool, top-notch logistics, and an array of amenities that set it apart from the competition,” Orbin said in a statement. LKQ has been in business since 1998 and has 45,000 employees in 25 countries. The company is a major supplier of replacement auto parts and mechanical replacement products in North America and worldwide. LKQ has retail locations in southern Dallas, Hutchins and Grand Prairie.LKQ’s industrial lease adds to the growing total of D-FW warehouse deals so far in 2023.In the second quarter, expanding and relocating companies leased more than 8 million square feet of North Texas warehouse space.
