The Fish and Boat Commission is investigating the incident. Another man in the boat survived.
Thursday after the boat he was in went over the Harrisburg Dock Street Dam and capsized.
The coroner’s office said Brook’s cause and manner of death will be examined during an autopsy on Tuesday. The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission is still investigating how and why the boat ended up so close to the dam. Harrisburg officials said there were about six warning buoys scattered around the dam area Thursday morning, mostly below the dam. Each year, about 36 buoys are placed near the dam; 18 on the north side and 18 on the south side to mark the “exclusion zone” that exists near the dam. They were left in and most washed away during the winter’s high water, according to Matt Maisel, the city’s spokesman.
