Austin Police held its biannual police memorial Friday evening, honoring the 29 officers who have died in the line of duty.
Sat, May 4th 2024 at 10:08 PMSWAT Officer Jorge Pastore is the most recent name to be added to APD's memorial wall, dying in the line of duty on November 11, 2023.
Two names were added Friday night to the Austin Police Department's memorial wall since the last biannual event: Anthony Martin who died on September 23, 2022. And SWAT officer Jorge Pastore, who died on November 11th of last year during a firefight while responding to reports of multiple stabbings inside a South Austin home.
