The Israeli-American Council in Austin hosted their March for Israel in partnership with Shalom Austin on Sunday afternoon. The goal of the march was allow comm
unity members, supporters and advocates to use their voices and stand with the people of Israel against terror.
The Israeli-American Council's mission is to help build an Israeli-American community in Austin that strengthens the Israeli and Jewish identity of the next generation. Shalom Austin strives to highlight Jewish life in Central Texas, as well as provide services and resources to connect the local and national Jewish community.
The march was held for attendees to honor their loved ones who have suffered from current events and to bring further awareness. "Almost every Jewish person in the world knows someone who has been either killed or kidnapped," event attendee Daniel Sakhai said. "We're focusing on bringing home and protecting ourselves."
