Aurora Fire Rescue has contained a brush fire in an open space near the intersection of Parker and Chamber roads but will remain on scene to watch for hot spots that may flare up.
The fire department performed door-to-door evacuation notices for fewer than a dozen homes and condominiums in the Pioneer Hills neighborhood, Aurora Fire Rescue said in a tweet.
