Auburn will begin conference play on Jan. 6 at Arkansas and then face potential SEC favorite Texas A&M in the conference home opener.
Auburn opens SEC play on the road against Arkansas on Jan. 6 before coming home on Jan. 9 to face a Texas A&M team which could wind up as the preseason conference favorite.
January certainly appears to be Auburn’s most difficult month of conference play with both Arkansas and Texas A&M on the schedule as well as trips to play Alabama and Mississippi State. Auburn has six games in January against teams that won more than 20 games last season. The schedule seems to at least somewhat lighten up from there with games against Florida, Georgia and South Carolina which project toward the bottom of the SEC. Auburn does not go to Rupp Arena, getting Kentucky only at home this season, but does go to Knoxville to face Tennessee. Tennessee does not come to Auburn.Sat. Jan. 13 vs. LSUSat.
