According to information, a security cash van with security guards, was traveling towards the N4 Road when it was suddenly bumped by a dark brown Mercedes Benz from behind and the cash van lost control as a result. It is further reported that the Mercedes-Benz used in this incident, was torched by the suspects before they fled the scene to evade the arrest whilst the men and women in Blue were approaching.
Various disciplines within the SAPS, including the Hawks and the Explosives Unit and other role players also attended the scene where a case of attempted Cash-In-Transit robbery was registered for investigation with the hope to apprehend perpetrators thereof.
