ROME : Goals by defender Davide Zappacosta and forward Rasmus Hojlund earned Atalanta a 2-0 win at Lazio in Serie A on Saturday as they overtook the hosts in the table to break into the top four.
Atalanta opened the scoring at the Stadio Olimpico in the 23rd minute through Zappacosta who unleashed a beautiful shot into the top right corner. Hojlund doubled their advantage 20 minutes into the second half when he controlled a cross from Ademola Lookman and pushed the ball into the net from close range.
Atalanta moved up to third from sixth in the standings, level on 41 points with fourth-placed AS Roma and AC Milan in fifth. Lazio dropped one place to sixth on 39 points.
