in Sayreville, staffed by adult learners in the school district’s Transitions program, opened its doors to customers on Thursday. The cafe at 132 Main St., offering hot and cold beverages and locally-sourced baked goods, will be open daily from 8 a.m. until noon.
Transitions, developed by the district’s Department of Special Services, provides work and life experiences to those ages 18 to 21 who are educationally disabled and require special education services.
