At least 5 dead, several other injured in Spring Valley house fire

LIVE: Rockland County officials hold a news conference on the Spring Valley fire that killed 5 people

There were reportedly three meters for this home, but it is unclear how many people or families lived in the dwelling.The Red Cross set up a command post to aid the individuals displaced by the fire.

A neighbor said some of the survivors of the fire went to the nearby police station this morning for assistance. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Officials have not said whether there were working smoke detectors in the home.
