At least four people — including two in Denver and two in Colorado Springs — died during theTwo outdoor deaths related to environmental exposure have been reported in Denver since Thursday, said Jill Lis, a city spokesperson. The final cause and manner of death will be determined by the medical examiner’s office.
In Colorado Springs, police found a 42-year-old man in Sand Creek on Thursday near a power transformer for a building, “likely looking for warmth,” a spokesperson said via email. Officers noticed a layer of snow on his belongings, indicating he had been there for some time. Police also found a second man in an alleyway nearby in the 500 block of Arrawanna Street and transported him to a hospital, authorities said. That second man, whose identity has not been released, died later that day.
