Astros manager Dusty Baker commended the Texas Rangers for hiring manager Bruce Bochy out of retirement this week, a move that could see the two manage against each other in the American League next season for the first time.
Baker said Bochy didn’t answer when he called to express congratulations, but said he was happy to see his friend back in baseball“He's one of the best, finest managers around,” Baker said. “I wish he was in the other division. “Definitely it's up there,” Matijevic said when asked where the home run falls among his favorite career memories. “It was a great moment, my mom and my fiancé were here so it was even more special.”
