Astros' Lance McCullers Jr. says rehab 'ahead of schedule,' but no timetable to throw off mound
Lance McCullers Jr said he is “ahead of schedule” in his rehab from a forearm strain, but is still uncertain when he could resume throwing off a mound.
McCullers is still throwing off flat ground and from 90 feet away. He is now throwing on back-to-back days and described the effort level as “high intensity.” If McCullers continues at his current pace, it is possible he could throw off a mound some time this month. Live batting practice sessions and a minor league rehab assignment would be the final two steps before a potential big league return.More Astros News
