An MEC condemns the act and says it undermines the foundation of our democracy.
The member of the executive council for cooperative governance and traditional affairs in KwaZulu-Natal province on Thursday condemned the burning to the ground of the department’s offices as barbaric.
In a statement, the department said Thursday morning’s attack was believed to be related to the protest by informal settlement dwellers and land invaders angry over a government crackdown on lawlessness.
