Assailant who fatally stabbed man outside Escondido fast food restaurant gets 35 to life in prison [Breaking]
A man who was convicted of fatally stabbing another man outside an Escondido fast-food restaurant in 2020 was sentenced Monday to 35 years to life in state prison.
The incident happened shortly before 6:30 p.m. Jan. 27, 2020, outside the Burger King on West Valley Parkway.Witnesses testified in court that Burns made statements indicating he believed Martinez, 32, was trying to steal his bicycle, which had been left outside the restaurant.
