Asda 'heroes' hunt down £12k engagement ring after it slips off bride-to-be's finger in Rawtenstall world food aisle
A pair of Asda employees have been praised after they managed to find a woman's £12k engagement ring she lost in the Rawtenstall store.
The £12,000 diamond engagement ring was thought to have been dropped, but she could be sure where. The soon-to-be married woman helpfully suggested it may have had slipped off somewhere within the World Foods aisle.During their night shift, the duo carried out a 'thorough' search to try to catch a glimpse of the glistening rock. Soon enough William and David discovered the diamond ring under a fixture and were happily able to return it to the customer.
News travelled up the chain of command as Asda HQ posted the act of kindness on their Facebook page. The full post states: "Eagle-eyed colleagues William and Daniel have been thanked by a customer for finding her treasured £12,000 diamond engagement ring which she lost while shopping in our Rawtenstall store.
"Store manager Lee said 'The customer was absolutely delighted and was full of praise for both colleagues for being so caring and helpful. Great work from them both!'"
