Supermarket opening times may vary due to the last bank holiday before Christmas
Monday will mark the last bank holiday until Christmas and will see opening times for shops and supermarkets vary slightly compared to normal hours. It comes as forecasters warn a hot spell set to sweep the country on Wednesday could be the last this year.
The Met Office expects temperatures to peak in the late 20s in some areas before the mercury dips and the sunshine gives way to more unsettled conditions over the bank holiday. Many people across the country could see rain at some point over the weekend, although there should still be “plenty of dry and bright weather” to make the most of the last bank holiday before the festive season.
Asda, which has more than 630 stores across the UK, has confirmed it will be open as normal on Saturday and Sunday . However its opening times for Monday will vary across the country. Some may open from as early as 6am though others may open a little later. Shoppers are being advised to use the store locator tool here to plan their visit and check opening times.
