The owners are asking for their return, no questions asked.
On the same night a longtime Hackensack restaurant permanently closed its doors, items the owners considered family heirlooms were stolen, tarnishing what was supposed to be a festive affair., a restaurant that served up a little bit of everything and has been owned by the Hajiyerou family for several decades, closed on Saturday for good. The owners told NorthJersey.com“Thank you to all who given us such amazing support,” the owners wrote in a Facebook post.
However, on Saturday, a green wooden Crow’s Nest sign that was under the TV in the bar area and a vintage milk canister that was kept in the restaurant’s vestibule were stolen, the family said in a Facebook post. “These are family heirlooms that we would like to be returned to us,” another post stated. “We are beginning to look at our cameras and we will go to the police if we have to. We will look the other way if these items are returned immediately.”
As of Monday evening, the items were still missing, but the police were not yet involved as the owners said they were still hoping the people who took them would do the right thing and return them.
