The Burning Man festival is coming to an end. Attendees, often referred to as “Burners,” are now leaving the event after a muddy, dusty weekend.

Reno-Tahoe International Airport set up a wash station for Burning Man attendees to clean themselves up and provided booties to wear to leave no trace at the airport. Images shared by the airport showed some travelers with wrapped suitcases as they waited to board flights home.

“We’d like to help Burners and keep our airport as clean as possible,” said Stacey Sunday, a spokesperson for the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority. Amid the muddy and wet environment, attendees still found ways to celebrate. Guests danced around their campsites and watched movies projected on tents. The event held its annual burning of the Man effigy late Monday night after multiple delays.was reported at the festival Saturday, and the person was later identified as 32-year-old Leon Reece, according to a statement from Pershing County sheriff and coroner Jerry Allen.

“This is not ending the Burning Man event by any stretch,” Goodell said. “It just makes us stronger.”
