Golden Arrows secured their first win of the DStv Premiership season after defeating KwaZulu-Natal rivals Richards Bay 2-1 on Tuesday evening.

Hard-running midfielder Boikanyo Komane made his first start for the host as Letsie Koapeng and Langelihle Mhlongo earned a recall too, while Siyanda Mthathi was the only change for Arrows after his goal against Moroka Swallows.

The momentum started flowing for Arrows who nestled the upright through a first-time effort in the area by Angelo Van Rooi on the half-hour mark following Velemseni Ndwandwe’s delivery.
