Young Taahir Goedeman, who helped City stage a comeback against Royal AM off the bench, was rewarded with a starting berth, while Arrows dropped Themba Mantshiyane.

The Citizens launched yet another scare in the opening stages and saw Lyle Laky hit the woodwork with a scorcher of a free-kick. Eric Tinkler’s boys restored momentum following the second half and a great chance fell to Goedeman from a ball in Khanyisa Mayo but the effort missed target. The visitors pushed the Citizens and didn’t lie down as the likes of Pule Mmodi and Velemseni Ndwandwe gave Lorenzo Gordinho and company a lot of issues.
