The victim has been identified as 37-year-old Marvin Leon Matthew of Toronto.
Police said they were called to the Dufferin Street and Rowan Avenue area before 10:30 p.m. for reports of a stabbing. Adding that the suspect allegedly entered into a unit in an apartment building and stabbed the victim.The suspect turned himself into police on Saturday and appeared in court on Sunday.
