Police officers were called to Ryelands Crescent at 4.40am to reports a man was trying to get into cars in the area.
A spokesperson for Lancashire police said: “Our officers quickly attended and arrested a 23-year-old man from Preston on suspicion of theft from a vehicle. He remains in custody at this time.”or call 101. In an emergency or if a crime is in progress, always call 999.
