A Toronto man has been charged after an incident Friday morning in which police said that a man chased people inside Kennedy station with a sharp object while yelling racial slurs at them.
The incident happened at around 10 a.m., at Kennedy station near Kennedy Road and Eglinton Avenue, according to police.Police earlier said they were treating the incident as a hate-motivated offence.
A 24-year-old man was later arrested and charged with several offences, including assault with weapon, uttering threats, weapons dangerous and four counts of fail to comply with probation.
