Arlington to conduct ground spraying for mosquitos on Oct. 4-5, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The city contractor will use an ultra-low volume application of a water-based permethrin product where deploying larvicide and other measures has not worked, according to the announcement. The city has done routine trapping and deployed larvicide in strategic locations throughout Arlington since the beginning of mosquito season. Crews have also surveyed low-lying areas for standing water, which provides breeding grounds for mosquitos.
