Arlington police are seeking leads after a man was found fatally shot inside a running car Monday morning.
About 9:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of Rutherford Lane, near New York Avenue, where a single-vehicle wreck had been reported. Police said they didn’t find any vehicles that had been involved in an accident, but instead saw a Kia Rio parked and running with multiple doors open. A man in his early 20s was slumped over the steering wheel with a gunshot wound, according to police.Police said they believe two passengers were in the car with the man when it pulled into the neighborhood, but ran from the car after he was shot.
