Teresa Dewitt Pierce was found dead in her front yard.
Authorities are looking for a 26-year-old man after his mother was found stabbed to death on Sunday in her Arlington home’s front yard.
Police were called to a reported stabbing about 7:30 p.m. Sunday at a home in the 1900 block of Longmeadow Drive, near Arbrook Boulevard and Melear Drive. Authorities said a man came home from the store to find his 55-year-old wife bleeding in the front yard. The woman, identified as Teresa Dewitt Pierce by the Tarrant County medical examiner, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities said an investigation led them to obtain an arrest warrant for Pierce’s son, Nathan Woodard, but they did not say what evidence led them to him. They launched an extensive search for Woodard but have not found him.
