Journalist Mazola Molefe confirmed that Chiefs had made an inquiry to the camp of Appollis. That then raises the question, why take that step if a player already has an agreement in place with Pirates? The simple answer could be the fact that Pirates may have been in pole position to sign Appollis. But due to the ever changing conditions, the delay has allowed Chiefs to come back into the picture.
