The primary objective of this role is to architect, design, and maintain the enterprise-wide application architecture , adhering to established Enterprise Architecture (EA) standards, procedures, and policies. The architect will be responsible for interpreting and applying approved EA principles across all architectural work, providing expert guidance within the application architecture domain.

This includes offering domain-driven input to all EA services, ensuring alignment with organizational standards, procedures, and policies. A crucial aspect of this position is establishing and maintaining a comprehensive application architecture domain, encompassing the current (as-is), future (to-be), and transitional states of the architecture for the organization. This will involve conducting impact assessments, evaluating various architectural options, and facilitating EA processes. The role requires the creation and maintenance of all application architecture templates, with the added responsibility of contributing to templates in other domains to ensure consistency throughout the organization. Furthermore, the architect will be expected to present all domain-related changes to the relevant governance structures, as per the established policies, and to define position papers related to the domain, guiding the adoption of new technologies and setting organizational standards. In addition, the architect will develop, maintain, and contribute to the establishment of the architecture repository, including managing modeling style guidelines and access controls. Publicizing application architecture within the organization is crucial, raising awareness as part of broader enterprise-wide initiatives. The role mandates the design of architectural solutions across all relevant domains, ensuring that these solutions are aligned with business requirements, EA principles, and ICT strategies. Regular review and validation of solution architecture designs are required to ensure they provide seamless integration, scalability, and security, in accordance with the established EA framework. The role also includes updating and maintaining the architecture repository with all architecture artifacts as part of architecture implementation governance and contributing to the development and/or evaluation of Terms of Reference documents used in RFI and RFP processes. The architect will take accountability for the end-to-end delivery of solutions, applications, and systems, ensuring their strict alignment with the approved architecture. Collaboration is a key aspect of this role, involving close work with ICT and business stakeholders to understand their strategic direction and ensure that the architecture facilitates the implementation of these strategies. The architect will also provide support to solution architects to ensure alignment with the overarching architecture landscape.\The role emphasizes several critical skills and competencies. Strong communication and collaboration abilities are essential to effectively work with various teams and stakeholders. The architect is expected to stay abreast of the latest technology trends and introduce innovative solutions to the organization. Business alignment is paramount, ensuring that the designed solutions are in harmony with the overall business strategy and deliver tangible business value. The required qualifications include TOGAF certification as a mandatory requirement, with knowledge of other frameworks, such as Zachman, considered an advantage. A minimum of three years of experience with Enterprise Architecture tools, like Case wise, Visio, and Sparx Enterprise Architect, is expected, with the ability to maintain a comprehensive architecture repository. Certification in industry-standard platforms and technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, is viewed as an advantage. Furthermore, the position requires a minimum of six years of experience in the development of large-scale solutions, involving multiple technologies, functions, and interfaces, across both in-house and vendor-supplied applications. A similar duration of experience is required in the design of hybrid (cloud/on-premises) application architectures and integration patterns. Solid experience in developing business cases, performing impact assessments, and conducting options analysis is also essential. Experience in solution architecture, especially spanning multiple architecture domains in a single project, is considered an advantage. The ability to guide project teams and ensure that solutions are developed and deployed in accordance with the approved solution architecture is also considered a significant asset.\Key responsibilities include defining and designing architectural solutions that encompass all architectural domains, ensuring seamless integration, scalability, and security. The architect must proactively engage with ICT and business stakeholders, understanding their strategic direction and aligning the architecture to facilitate its implementation. Continuous support to solution architects to guarantee solutions’ alignment with the established architecture landscape is crucial. The position demands excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with various teams and stakeholders. The architect needs to be innovative, staying updated on the latest technology trends and proposing innovative solutions to enhance the organization's capabilities. A fundamental requirement is aligning solutions with the overarching business strategy, ensuring they contribute to delivering business value. A deep understanding of the enterprise architecture framework is essential, with hands-on experience in its implementation and governance. The role also demands the ability to analyze complex requirements, design robust solutions, and ensure that the architecture aligns with both business needs and technical capabilities. The architect will be responsible for defining and documenting architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices. Another key aspect is the capacity to manage and maintain the architecture repository, ensuring that all architectural artifacts are properly documented and accessible. Providing training and mentoring to solution architects and other members of the ICT teams is also an important part of the role. Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and providing recommendations on technology adoption is a critical component. Finally, this role will also require strong stakeholder management skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse business and ICT stakeholders
