Apple is planning to switch all the ports in its product line-up to USB-C by 2024, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.
The only iPad that still does not offer USB-C, the entry-level model, should also get the port by the end of 2022. EU lawmakers recently signed off on the proposed law, which will take effect in 2024. It now awaits approval by the different members of the EU. However, such a move seems some time away, given that wireless charging technology still has significant shortcomings, including lower power efficiency and charging speeds.
