A BC numbered company is seeking a rezoning to allow apartment housing in an existing commercial building in Prince George.

A B.C. numbered company is seeking to rezone a commercial building, located at 2414 Queensway, “to facilitate apartment housing within the existing building on the subject property,” according to a public notice published by the City of Prince George on Tuesday.

City council will consider first and second reading of the proposed rezoning, from M1: Light Industrial to C4: Local Commercial, during their regular meeting on May 31. According to BC Assessment’s website, 2414 Queensway is currently a commercial office with 6,129 sq. feet of leasable space. As the proposal is consistent with the city’s official community plan, no public hearing will be held. Members of the public can submit written feedback for city council’s consideration at the meeting on the City of Prince George website, or by emailing [email protected], faxing 250-561-0183, or by mail or in person to the city’s corporate office at city hall.
